- Biography / History
- Donald Maxberry, custodian and housekeeping supervisor, worked in the Physical Plant Division (PPD) of the University of Kentucky (UK) between 1985 and 1990. Maxberry was the Team 2 supervisor in the Custodial Services department of PPD. His crew worked in the housekeeping zone that included the Fine Arts Building, the Singletary Center, and the Art Museum. He was also a volunteer with the United Way at UK.
- Scope and Content
- The Donald Maxberry papers (1985-1990, undated; 0.45 cubic feet; 1 document box) primarily comprise flyers, invitations, blank forms, cleaning instructions, cleaning checklists, employment policies, memoranda, correspondence, notes, meeting minutes and committee information documenting the custodial and supervisory work of University of Kentucky custodian/housekeeper supervisor Donald Maxberry. Maxberry was supervisor at least during the time period of 1985-1990 for the housekeeping zone that included the Fine Arts Building, the Singletary Center, and the Art Museum. Documents include a brown bag lunch entitled "Gender and Marriage in Later Life" (February 17, 1989); a call for volunteer reading tutors for Operation Educate; the invitation to the Physical Plant Division family day picnic on June 17, 1989; Excel Club information packets and catalogs; and a "Maintenance Planning Kit" binder.
