- Confederate Army soldier. Leeland Hathaway was born in Clark County, Kentucky. He fought under General John Hunt Morgan in the Civil War, and was imprisoned at Allegheny, Pennsylvania, and Fort McHenry, in Baltimore, Maryland, after his capture by Federal forces.
- Scope and Content
- This microfilm contains the manuscripts of speeches by Hathaway in which he reminisces about his wartime experiences.

The Breckinridge Research Room will be closed starting May 11, 2026, and anticipates re-opening Fall semester 2026 in an alternate location for the duration of the King Library renovation.
