- Biography / History
- Felix Kirk Zollicoffer (1812-1862) was a Confederate general who died at the Battle of Mill Springs.
- Scope and Content
- The collection consists of general orders from F. K. Zollicoffer, general in charge of the Confederate forces in Eastern Kentucky, asserting that the Confederacy does not seek to interfere with peaceful Kentuckians. Additionally, the orders contain an appended note by Col. James E. Rains giving J. Word safe passage home.
