- Educator. Henry Hall White served as a professor of mathematics at several colleges before serving in administrative positions and teaching math at Transylvania University.
- Scope and Content
- This material consists of three mathematics notebooks (Nos. 4-6) written by Henry Hall White. These notebooks contain mathematical problems with solutions (written in prose) that employ detailed mathematical equations and diagrams. Exercises were obtained from a number of 19th century mathematics books which are cited at the beginning of each notebook.

The Breckinridge Research Room will be closed starting May 11, 2026, and anticipates re-opening Fall semester 2026 in an alternate location for the duration of the King Library renovation.
Reproduction requests will still be available during the closure.
