Collection Overview
- Biography / History
- Dr. Samuel H. Halley, the president of Fayette Tobacco Warehouse, purchased the stock farm Meadowthorpe in Lexington, Kentucky, in 1906. The family lived there until the end of the 1920s.
- Scope and Content
- The collection consists of an address book and a calling card for a Mrs. Halley. The address book contains the names and addresses for acquaintances of the Halley family as well as a list of visitors to their estate, Meadowthorpe.
