- This was an 1853 lawsuit to determine legal ownership of slaves. It was tried before Judge Alvin Duval in Bourbon (County) Circuit Court.

- This is a photocopy of what appears to be a manuscript copy of a set of court documents in the case of Jonas N. Menifee vs. Peter Hedge, et al.
