- Biography / History
- In the late nineteenth century, German and Swiss "colonies" were established at Ottenheim, Highland, and Crab Orchard in Lincoln County, Ky. and near Franklin in Simpson County.
- Scope and Content
- Mohr family papers (dated 1870-1889, bulk 1889; 0.1 cubic feet; 1 folder) comprise letters concerning German colonization enterprises in Lincoln and Simpson counties in Kentucky. In addition to the Mohr family's correspondence, there are a few blank vouchers of the Lincoln Land Company. The originals are in German. Some have been translated into English.
