- This is an account book detailing the arrival and departure of mail at the post office in Lexington, Ky. from October 1818 to June 1819. The book contains records for mail, listed according to the names of other post offices (e.g. Versailles, Richmond, and Cincinnati) of origin. There are also some miscellaneous papers in this book. The beginning date of the book is noted on the flyleaf, instead of at the top of the first page containing detailed information.

The Breckinridge Research Room will be closed starting May 11, 2026, and anticipates re-opening Fall semester 2026 in an alternate location for the duration of the King Library renovation.
